Why SEO is Important for Your Wallet

Post 4 of 7

There is much talk on the internet about ranking in search engines, and many people pay lip-service to it with some on-page SEO. But few realise quite how lucrative it really can be (if you get it right!)

SEO is one of those subjects that in many ways is a bit like being a successful financial trader in London. If you know how to do it then you don’t tell anyone! You just quietly smile at dinner parties because of all the money you are making, but you certainly don’t shout about it, and you definitely don’t want to tell other people how you are doing it!

It is still considered by many to be a bit of an arcane art form to rank on Google, and this image isn’t helped by the Panda and Penguin updates of recent years which burned many people and have put them off search engine optimization for life.

But, the fact is, that just like a knife can cut you. It can also be used to do the cutting, and if you get SEO right then there is potential to both make a lot of money and get a lot of very targeted visitors to your websites.

This is easy to see if you consider the current cost of Adwords Ads on Google. Here is just a selection of keywords that cost considerably more than five pounds PER CLICK!

–   Car Insurance

–   Debt Consolidation

–   VOIP service

Consider that in the last month alone the phrase “car insurance” had 674,000 exact match searches on Google (over 5 million if you look at phrase match!) if you times that by £8.64 for each of those clicks (which is the actual current price for the exact match search) then it is easy to see how ranking on Google for that phrase could be insanely lucrative.

(Debt Consolidation costs £26.78 a click!)

Now, ranking for “car insurance” may be out of your league. But think how many lucrative phrases there really are and you soon realise there are millions of them.

If you ranked for some of them, how much could you make?

Hi, could you please send me a free seo report, I’m thinking of asking if you can build me a new website as my website is not functioning at all at the moment.
Thanks in advance
